ok, so I found this community today and was so inspired . . . that I am almost finished with a project I haven't worked on since February. It's a skull and crossbones felt bag. :)
so here's the scene:
hubby came home from his bike race a little early, so he took our twin boys (13 months-old) for a walk to the ice cream shoppe. the dogs are being conveniently and suspiciously quiet. I have the radio on (I have no clue where the CDs are, we just moved from AZ to CO), tuned to a nice jazz station, playing Chet Baker. Yumm. the sun breaks through the trees outside and filters in pleasantly through the picture window from the front porch. I can feel the breeze coming through the front door -- it is 75 degrees outside, says the jazz dj. I sit in my recliner -- yes, feet *UP*!! I am knitting my bag and my glass of pinot noir is balancing precariously on a neighboring piece of furniture. I knit, I sip, I knit, I sip.
this is the best slice of 20-minutes of heaven I have had in the last 18 months.
I have to go now. the scene at this time is *drastically* different.
That sounds just heavenly!

it was nice while it lasted! I think I was a little loosey-goosey from the wine because I lost a couple of loops!!

yes, I added you as well.
what are you working on now?? I finished my pirate bag and I'm sort-of just knitting. I don't know what it will end up being -- I'm not much for using patterns so I just start working and see what happens. :)
I read a bit about you on your journal -- sounds like we would get along very well if we were in the same town!
I'm in a bit of scarf/shawl era. I did a couple of those furry/eyelash yarn scarves for friends and then I found some very soft yarn with loops of other colours in (stylecraft chloe) and made myself a huge shawl. I like making up patterns as well, similarly with cooking i like to use recipes as starting points. i am knitting a smaller but long scarf in the same wool but bright, bright pink for a work colleage. she has lent me an evening dress for a civil ceremony I am witnessing next month - there is a very flash party involved and i didnt have any evening dresses. now that I have resuscitated my journal i will try and get some photos up there. thanks for adding me and helping the kick-start of my journalling! :)
